ABOUT US
DAVID COSTA SORIA
Founder & Director — Costa Sports & Education
David Costa Soria is a former Spanish high-performance tennis player, coach, and sports professional specializing in the academic and athletic development of young athletes.
His tennis career began at the highest levels of junior competition, reaching the Top 3 in Spain in the Under-14, Under-16, and Under-18 categories. He was also a member of the Spanish National Team and became European Champion representing the prestigious Real Club de Tenis Barcelona.
His athletic career later took him to the United States, where he received an athletic scholarship to compete for Southern Methodist University (SMU). There, he completed his university studies in Sports Management, while also earning a Master’s Degree in Spanish Philology.
He continued his professional development by completing an International Double Master’s Degree in Sports Coaching and Sports Psychology, strengthening his expertise in leadership, performance, athlete support, and holistic athlete development.
As a professional coach in the United States, he obtained his USTA certification and worked with young talents and high-level competitive players, including experience connected to the ATP professional circuit with players such as David Marrero and Fernando Verdasco.
He was also part of the Rafa Nadal Academy, where he contributed to the training and development of high-performance tennis players.
Today, he continues his involvement in international sports through projects connected to Deportivo Alavés, developing training programs and opportunities for young athletes.
All of this experience ultimately led to the creation of Costa Sports & Education, a company founded to connect athletic talent with international academic opportunities.
On a personal level, he is married to María Monserrat Dávalos Torres, a lawyer and Legal Advisor at Costa Sports & Education.

MARÍA MONSERRAT DÁVALOS TORRES
Attorney & Legal Advisor — Costa Sports & Education
María Monserrat Dávalos Torres is an Attorney, Master’s Degree in Criminal Sciences, Diploma in Sports Law, and Legal Advisor at Costa Sports & Education, responsible for providing legal guidance and support throughout processes and agreements involving athletes, families, educational institutions, clubs, and sports organizations.
Her role is to provide legal security, transparency, and professional support throughout each process, helping ensure that the company’s contractual and commercial relationships are conducted in a clear, responsible, and professional manner.

He graduated from Flagler College in Florida, where he studied Operations Management and Sports Management, combining expertise in management, organization, and sports administration.
